I know everyone else in the whole universe is either blogging or posting multiple times a day on Facebook about the minutiae of their existence. I have resisted up to this point because, frankly, I don’t think what I ate for lunch or what music I listen to is relevant to anyone else.
But I must admit that the blog format is good for one thing: keeping people who are interested in my work informed without having to make more public appearances! Also, I’m hoping that having an audience waiting for the next post might make the crucial difference between deciding whether to go to the studio and get something done and finding another way to distract myself here on the farm. Wish me luck. Or discipline.

You don't need any "luck" and"discipline" would totally ruin you!
