Springlike February

Picture
early morning from Green Hill
Ironically, I was hoping for nasty winter weather, because it’s hard for me to be inside on a beautiful day like today. A bad day in the woods is better than a good day most anywhere else, even in the studio.

Perhaps the unusually warm weather has been influencing my choice of subjects as I continue to turn out landscapes. I have maybe six or seven paintings going right now, and only one is a winter scene. The others are a riot of green or bright fall colors. This is one of the latter.
